Teach Me to Pray for Thine is the Kingdom Day 4

Meditative (Listening) Prayer

Then David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly: “O Lord, the God of our ancestor Israel, may you be praised forever and ever! Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things. Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.“O our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name!

1 Chronicles 29:10-13 NLT

We know with all certainty and beyond a shadow of a doubt that, as believers, we are HIS children and that is our truth. We can rest assured that in our specialness, the Great Equipper will equip us with unique abilities to help bring about His Kingdom on earth. No job is mundane or person useless in God’s Economy; those are promises on which to hang your hat. All glory belongs to Him!

In the quietness of your time with the Almighty, give thanks and praise for the eternal riches of your life. Make note in your prayer journals so during those silent times when you feel God isn’t listening you can reflect on His Goodness and know that He is always working on our behalf; it just may not be evident to us yet.

If you need a kickstart for praise, use a song or hymn to stir you heart. Enjoy a recording or write one verse in your journal as a reminder to return to those prayers of praise.
