Take It Home: Prepare for Jesus Day 2

Prepare with Diligence U-TURN-SIGN-facebook

Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised?..  But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare... So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him.  Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation... 2 Peter 3 : 3,4,10,14,15 NIV

Benjamin Franklin said “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail”. Nowadays, we spend a lot of time researching and preparing before we commit. Buying a product involves ‘intense online researches’ often pouring through thousands of expert and user reviews not to mention finding the best deals available. We prepare with conviction and diligence to cater to our wants and needs.

As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, are we ready to change our minds to match God’s ways? Make every effort to match your wants to God’s wants. Research God’s Word to find the direction of God’s Love for someone on your Christmas shopping list. Spend time knowing them as God’s loved child. Pray about the gift God will lead you to.
