Take It Home The Best Christmas Gift Day 4
Have you said thank you?
As he entered a village there, ten men with leprosy stood at a distance, crying out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” He looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy. One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus, shouting, “Praise God!” He fell to the ground at Jesus’ feet, thanking him for what he had done. This man was a Samaritan. Luke 17:12–16 NLT
Have you seen Maui sing Thank You to Moana? It’s kind of tongue-in-cheek with a little bit of a dig to people who receive gifts and take them for granted. In today’s verse from Luke, I suspect Jesus would completely understand Maui’s point of view. Ten people receive a gift and one says thank you. So far this week, we’ve been searching to understand and appreciate God’s Perfect Christmas Gift. Do you need a reminder? Thank you notes may be an old-fashioned protocol, but write one to God right now. Be sure to tell Him all the details of why and how you appreciate His Perfect Gift.
