Take It Home Advent: Rejoice Day 1
Rejoice with the Spirit
When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!” Luke 1:41-45 NIV
What would happen if we all believed that the same Holy Spirit that resided in Elizabeth, which leapt for Joy when in the Presence of another filled with the Holy Spirit, resided in us? How magnificent would that be at fulfilling God’s Purpose of bringing all His children back together?! If we all had that same belief and we operated from that same belief system, we would be able to:
- Honor the place in others that is the same within ourselves.
- Honor the place of Light, of Peace, and of Truth that resides in ourselves resides in others.
- Honor that we all bleed the same.
- Honor that the same Lord that resides in ourselves resides in others.
Pray for the quietness of mind and heart to allow the Spirit in us to shine on others and leap for Joy.
