John tells us that “in the beginning was the Word… and the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” Jesus is the Word of God… and he has given us his Word in the Bible. Just as Jesus revealed the Father to his followers, the Bible reveals our God to us. The Word changes us. It creates and sustains faith. It teaches us who Jesus is and who we are. And it teaches us how to respond to God’s love in our daily lives.
