Take It Home Resolute in Worship Day 4
Being resolute in worship means giving Him what we treasure.
They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Matthew 2:11 NLT
We usually bump into that treasure chest image in pirate stories. In a rather dramatic scene a chest is unearthed and the lock cracked open. The audience holds its breath to see what’s in the chest. I have some questions for you from this very different scene with the wise men worshipping the Newborn King.
- Is your treasure chest buried or ready at hand to be offered for God’s use?
- What’s in your treasure chest? What have you resolutely valued and piled together?
- How can it be turned into an asset for God’s Kingdom?
As you search for your answers to these questions ask the Holy Spirit to grow a new worship filled generosity in your heart.
