Spiritual Life Assessment

Take the Spiritual Life Assessment  You will need the name of your small group leader and the name of your leader's coach to start the assessment.

At Trinity, our mission is to help people look, live, and love, more like Jesus. We recognize spiritual growth is a life-long process of reordering our lives around Jesus’ values. We begin this journey from our starting point, with God saying, “I love you just the way you are.” Because of his great love for us, God doesn’t leave us where we are but encourages us to take steps to become more like Jesus. As we grow, we remember we are not trying to impress God or earn his love. Instead, our journey is one empowered by his love as we move toward the abundant life God has promised. The result is that we experience the best of this life as we become more like Jesus while participating in his mission to save lost people.

This assessment will help you reorder your life around Jesus’ values that we identify as:

  • Worship
  • Connect
  • Serve
  • Generosity
  • Leading
  • Sharing
  • Accountability

Learning to live out these values changes the way we live. We rearrange priorities, spend our time differently, pursue knowledge, learn new skills, build new relationships and sacrificially give as we steward our whole lives in response to God’s love and his desire to share it with the world. The more we experience God’s passionate love for us, the more change we can expect as we learn to look, live and love more like Jesus!

This assessment tool will help you identify where your values and Jesus’ values might not be the same. Answering the questions honestly and discussing your responses with another person can result in positive steps in your spiritual growth as you move towards a life centered on Jesus’ priorities. We say at Trinity, “You can’t grow spiritually unless you are connected relationally.”

Paul encourages us to examine our lives in 2 Corinthians 13:5:

“Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don’t drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups. Test it out…if you fail the test, do something about it. (Message)

This assessment is a check-up that will guide you to, “do something about it” as you identify areas of needed growth. The assessment consists of thirty-one questions. Answer each question honestly, as it applies to you. Resist the temptation to answer how you think you should answer and remember this assessment is not to be used to compare yourself with others. Our goal is to provide you with a picture of your spiritual health and connect you with resources to help you on your journey as you learn to look, live and love more like Jesus.
