Dedicate children in the proper way, the path of wise, godly living, which is the way of wisdom. Training up a child in the way is one of the most important responsibilities a parent undertakes. While parents are the primary people God has given the responsibility of passing on the faith to there children, it takes more than parents to raise a child to know and love the Lord. It would be wise to not attempt this on your own. Just as young people will often receive input from their peers that can lead them away from God’s truth, there are many people within the church that can lead them toward the Truth. The wise thing would be to seek many advisors with a plan as important as raising a child in “the way.” Parents need the rest of the Body of Christ to assist them in this vital task!
