Trinity South Naperille - November Update
October at Trinity South Naperville was a blast; we enjoyed diving into the Red Letter Challenge, opening up a bunch of new small groups reflecting different styles of approaching this “challenging” material! We have a men’s group, three women’s groups, a family group, a Facebook group, and a serving group (made up of praise team members and their families). It’s been a blast working through these “words of Jesus” together.
On Sunday, October 6, we extended an invitation to our Trinity Early Childhood Center (TECC) families to join us at our 10 am Sunday Worship Gathering, particularly to see and hear their kids sing a song they learned in Chapel on Thursdays at TECC. Seven TECC families joined us for the first time in worship. Not only did they get a taste of worshiping together as a faith family, they got to hear “This Little Gospel Light of Mine” from the mouths of babes. What a great experience!
We’ve also begun planning for our 3rd annual Chinese New Year Party coming up at the end of January 2020. This year, for the first time, we’re engaging our Chinese Storytime group (meeting each month on the 4th Saturday at TECC) to form a core of volunteers to serve at the event. God is building new connections to the local Chinese community at lightning speed. Join us in prayer as we ask him to bring his work to completion in the lives of these awesome people!
