Fall Event featuring New Maternity Home
Redeeming Life Outreach Ministries supports women who might not otherwise choose life for their unborn child. Since 2013, they have been operating maternity and transitional homes in Florida for single pregnant women who are homeless and pose a risk for having an abortion. While meeting the women’s needs for food, shelter, and education, they also proclaim the Gospel of Jesus to them and their children. Their vision is to expand this maternity home ministry into every LCMS district.
Our NID has invited Redeeming Life to open such a home in the Chicago area and at the recent national LWML convention in Lexington, KY, the voting members selected Redeeming Life to receive a $100,000 grant during the next biennium to fund this new facility. Come learn about this life-changing ministry at our LWML-NID Fall Gathering on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Good Shepherd, Elgin. The Rev. Edward DeWitt and his wife, Sheryl (Executive Director of Redeeming Life), will be our special guests. Pastor DeWitt will lead us in our Bible study and Sheryl will be our speaker, sharing with us the mission and work of Redeeming Life.
You may attend the Fall Gathering in-person or via livestream. The registration form is on the website. Please note that registration is required by all, whether attending in person or online. Afternoon activities include lunch, fellowship, hands-on mission work, singing, and prayer. Bring your friends and join us at the Fall Gathering or online.
