Community Impact for April
In order to mobilize the most resources and address the needs that are being brought to us from our various local school districts and community organizations, we are encouraging everyone to direct donations to Trinity's Good Samaritan Fund. We will then utilize those funds for providing resources to local organizations like PADS, the foodbank, and so forth, as well as assisting individuals facing financial difficulty.
Visit Trinity's online giving sytem and select Good Samaritan Fund in the drop down menu.
Trinity has impacted the community in many ways during this COVID-19 pandemic:
- donating N95 masks from the SHINE (Trinity's Youth Group) supply for workcamp to the local police department
- donating hundreds of dollars in gift cards to the local Lisle 202 school district Spring Break food distribution to supplement items the families received from the local food bank. Due to an extremely heavy use of the pantry lately, the pantry did not have access to as much food for the distribution, so these cards were important to supplement what each family received especially with the break from school being much longer than one week.
- spreading the word to have any seamtresses make masks. One of our members is collecting them and bringing them to a place to be used
We want to support anyone who is at risk or feels they need assistance. Please fill out this form if you need support.
If you are feeling called to help support your Trinity Family, please fill out this Volunteer form.
If you are experiencing a serious financial need due to the coronavirus, or if you would like to help other members of the Trinity family financially in this crisis, remember that Trinity has a Good Samaritan fund that is available for one-time financial help. You can give to this fund through Trinity’s online giving or by sending a check to the church office (and indicating it is a donation for the Good Samaritan fund).
Applications for assistance are also available through the church office (630-964-1272) or by email.
The Garden Club hosted at Trinity Kimberly Way in Lisle is postponing starting their work days that had previously been scheduled for April. Watch for information about our exciting summer plans starting next month.
