Many people seem to follow a “conventional approach” to the will of God. They assume God has a plan for their lives, and following that plan involves making some key decisions and key moments of their lives. What college does God want me to attend? What career should I pursue? Whom shall I marry? What church should I join? We pray for guidance, we look for signs, we seek advice, we scour the Bible for insights. We search our hearts. Meanwhile, a nagging question hovers in the back of our minds. What if we make the wrong choice?
