No Sewing Experience Required!
Sewists and non-Sewists are needed to make items for reusable feminine hygiene kits for girls in America and Africa.
Willing workers are needed to cut, pin, iron, trim, mark, trace, turn, and sew! We need quality control checkers and volunteers to help with set up, too! If you are able, please bring your serger and/or sewing machine, or just bring yourself, and join us!
Snacks, light lunch, and all materials will be provided.
Days for Girls International increases access to menstrual care and education by developing global partnerships, cultivating Social Enterprises, mobilizing volunteers and innovating sustainable solutions that shatter stigma and limitations for women and girls.
Ways to serve include...
- Bringing your own sewing machine and/or tools
- Ironing fabric and product pieces
- Cutting, pinning, trimming, tracing, and marking fabric (PUL, cotton, flannel)
- serging bag edges
- sewing bags and liners
- and more!
