Strange Encounters With Jesus - Series Starts October 2
Over the centuries, artists have tried to capture the figure of Jesus. From mosaics, icons, sculptures, and paintings to television and film, images of Jesus can be found all around the world. But what if these pictures are getting in the way of actually seeing Jesus for who he really is?
Too often, we pick up a picture of Jesus that fits our personal preferences more than allowing Jesus himself to shape our lives and transform us. Which is why John’s gospel is so powerful. He writes his account of Jesus’ life to help us see him for who he truly is, so “that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”
Over the course of this series, we will take a look at John’s eyewitness account of Jesus to see who Jesus is. So whether you’re a life-long churchgoer or you’re a skeptic just looking for answers to life’s deepest questions, this series invites you to come and see for yourself who Jesus is and why he matters. Join us as we take a closer look at these strange encounters with Jesus.
