Jesus describes himself as the mother hen who desires to again and again to gather the chicks for their own protection, even at the cost of his own life. But many reject that gift, refusing to be gathered by him and as a result they are “forsaken.” Those of us who have been gathered by Jesus need to share his passion and persistence in reaching those who are far from him!
