Advent

Advent comes from the Latin word “adventus” which means “arrival.” We await the celebration of Jesus’ arrival into our world as a baby over 2000 years ago, and we await his second coming when he will arrive in glory to rescue and restore all of creation. As we wait, we focus on four traditional words of Advent: Watch, Prepare, Rejoice, and Behold. We watch for Jesus to come again, using Advent as a chance to return our focus to where it should be all year long
